The Revo Financial approach: What sets us apart

As a faith-based firm, aligning wealth with personal values is a core component of what we do. With that comes an inherent duty to share the blessings God has bestowed upon us with others. Many of our clients are philanthropic at heart, and we value the opportunity to help them align their desire to give with their greater financial plan and goals.

Applying the Bible to financial planning

When we welcome new clients, we usually start the process by helping them determine how much you need to live comfortably and achieve your financial goals. We often refer to this as your “finish line.”

The Bible makes it clear that you should provide for your family and enjoy God’s many gifts. But there is no numbers-driven guideline around success or financial fulfillment. We try to help you and your spouse determine what that number may look like for your family.

One reason we lead with this finish line number? It creates freedom for you to give more fully to the causes you care about. If you’ve handled your finances in accordance with that finish line number, anything in excess can be shared as you wish. We’ve seen clients increase their monthly tithing, start a scholarship program, and more—there’s no limit to where your charitable giving goals can take you.

A different approach to charitable giving

Many financial advisors look at charitable contributions as a way to save money on taxes. But for Revo, and for our clients, our primary concern is helping you make a positive impact. This means any potential tax savings or personal financial benefits come second.

We promise to wholeheartedly support your philanthropic endeavors, whether you’re buying a hot meal for a community member on the street or implementing a formal giving strategy (like a donor-advised fund) into your financial plan.

We know there are a million reasons why someone may try to talk you out of giving charitably. But, as Christians, it’s more important to share the blessings God has bestowed than to worry about whether we’re being too generous with our time and resources.

And we also know that, much as our lives continue after death, so too can our legacy of philanthropy. We often help clients incorporate causes, churches, and charities into their estate plan, in addition to an annual giving strategy.

We’re here to support you

We are not in the business of telling you how, when, or where to donate. We let your values lead the way and build a financial plan based on that.

We’re committed to providing the ideas and resources required to help you maximize your impact. We’re here to answer any questions you have along the way. And we love building custom charitable giving strategies to help you benefit the causes you’re called to support.
